Our types of honey

Rape honey

The first honey of the year. The rapeseed flowers are often the first ray of hope for bees after a long winter, as they flower early in the year. In our rape honey lies the aroma of the yellow flowering fields of spring. In terms of taste, rapeseed honey shows exactly the typical sweetness of rapeseed. Due to the high content of dextrose in rape honey, rape honey crystallizes very hard without further treatment. This is a natural process whereby the honey changes its colour from transparent white to light white. Rapeseed honey is most preferred by our customers. We recommend the honey for sweetening lukewarm drinks such as tea, coffee or lemonade. On the other hand, we recommend the rape honey for direct consumption. Our rape honey contains a particularly high amount of glucose. It is therefore ideal for boosting the body in the morning with an energy boost. Rapeseed honey is an ideal source of energy because the energy is available very quickly due to the high glucose content.

Acacia honey

Acacia honey is the second honey of the year in our region. Acacia honey is a lover’s honey, fine and sweet in taste and not very dominant in sweetness. The colour of acacia honey is very light to sometimes golden yellow. This honey has a high fructose content, but does not over sweeten and can be used to sweeten desserts, lukewarm drinks like tea or fresh fruit. Acacia honey can retain its liquid consistency for a very long time and only then does it slowly crystallize. The reason for the unique characteristic of acacia honey is mainly due to its high proportion of fructose in relation to glucose. Acacia honey is very healthy! Anyone who has a cold or suffers from coughing should always use it as an organic remedy. A spoonful of it taken pure or enjoyed in a lukewarm drink quickly relieves many complaints. It also contains other active ingredients such as trace elements, minerals, vitamin C and group B vitamins.

Forest honey

The third honey that our team produces in a year is forest honey. The honey is very aromatic, contains a lot of fructose and is therefore very rich in minerals and enzymes. The colour of forest honey is brown. This kind remains fluid at the beginning and then slowly crystallize. This is considered a gradual source of energy, as the fructose in the body is only converted into glucose with the help of enzymes. Therefore, the summer flowers honey is suitable for endurance sports.

Sunflower honey

The last honey of the year that our team produces is sunflower honey. Due to its colour in strong yellow and shining like the sun on summer days and due to its sweet-spicy taste, our honey makes itself a favourite variety with our customers. The sunflower honey can crystallize very quickly, which is a quality characteristic. You can recognize honeys that have not been heated or stirred too much.
